The mistake is not in how we photograph women—
it’s in believing they can all be approached the same way.
Let’s re-imagine HER.
THE PLUS SIZE CLIENT | THE NATURE NUDE CLIENT | THE BRIDEWE ARE BOUDOIR PHOTOGRAPHERS.
WE ARE MASTERS AT WHAT WE DO.
But… what if we stopped treating boudoir as a single, overarching genre—and began approaching it as a series of distinct studies?
I don’t mean just photographing their bodies in different shapes. But really… REALLY… study the woman.
In her different forms. In her different seasons of life. Each with her different mindsets.
We begin to RE-IMAGINE HER.
We serve her with more purpose, more intention. And whenever we do THAT… our business expands and profitability grows.
We open ourselves up as multi-faceted artists who can expand our businesses in ways we never imagined.
We stop serving clients through our “service offerings” and become emotional thought leaders guiding them through their journey.
BETTER ART.
INCREASED PURPOSE.
STRONGER CLIENT SATISFACTION.
GREATER VALUE, BIGGER PROFITS.
2 DAYS | 3 NICHES | JUST 10 PHOTOGRAPHERS…
For this 2-day, intimately-designed workshop Cate will invite you to her sea-cottage studio in New Jersey for a peaceful,
creatively compelling right and left brain education experience.
Here, we will convene an an intimately sized, yet deeply immersive workshop that concentrates on the less-focused areas of our Boudoir Practices:
1. HER AS THE BRIDE
2. HER AS THE PLUS SIZE WOMAN
3. HER AS THE (CURVY) NUDE.
WHY? Because…
The bride is not the same as ….
the woman learning to exist fully in her body…
And she is not the same woman who steps into the vulnerability of a state of nudity with quiet certainty.
…Each arrives with a different psychology, a different relationship to herself, a different threshold of visibility.
When we begin to recognize this, our approach shifts. We direct differently. We compose differently. We create with more intention.
This workshop is built on three pillars—bridal, curve, and the nude—not as categories, but as three ways of seeing.
And in that distinction, the work becomes more refined, more resonant, and far more valuable—for both the artist and the woman in front of the lens.
Cate will approach the workshop with both a right brain (creative ) and left brain (business and practical) standpoint so that we each walk away
with a comprehensive view of our clients:
Psychology, Creative, and Business.
Cate will share her uniquely different approach to serving each of them, treating them differently …
BECAUSE THEY ARE MAGNIFICENTLY DIFFERENT.
And that, is how WE Differentiate ourselves as business creatives.
THE WORKSHOP AGENDA
You’re already good at what you do… and aren’t here to learn how to simply photograph women.
You are here to learn how to see them differently in these contexts, with a greater understanding. And to create work and business moves that reflect that understanding.

The purpose of this workshop is to understand, serve and represent the types of clients we often work with on a day to day basis. Therefore, models will be selected to reflect what our portfolios need for this purpose.
1 Plus sized model will be used for our Plus Sized Muse Day and Fine Art Nudes Outdoors.
Bridal Model(s) will be cast to reflect the authentic aesthetics that we often work with. Our goal is to cast models that will closely resemble our clientele with body types, diversity and be reflective of our own curated direction and posing…not fashion model standards.
If you are looking for a fashion or editorial style model workshop, this is NOT for you. Though the styling and sets are beautiful, We would like your portfolio building experience to be practical for your marketing purposes.
-
Cate’s studio is a gorgeous, natural light filled space that provides a dreamy, romantic backdrop to our curation. The workshop will also address the benefits of the natural light setting in these niches.
While this workshop is not intended to focus merely on lighting instruction, we will have lighting equipment on hand to support our distinct creative goals, including a Lite Panel, Constant Light with Softbox, Light Wands, reflectors and more.
-
Cate has set aside 3 opportunities to accommodate prospective attendees with their own boudoir photo experience. If you would like to book a session, please specify which day / type you would like to secure so that Cate can provide you with the details. click here.
